What is Transboundary Pollution?
Transboundary pollution is the pollution that originates in one country but can cause damage in another country’s environment by crossing borders through pathways like water or air. Pollution can be transported across thousands of kilometers as the pollution crosses the juris-dictional limit of once country to another, it is known as transboundary pollution.

- Internation co-operation and brotherhood is another way to combat transboundary pollution.
- The internal agencies such as WTO, World Bank, Asian development bank, etc. Formulate sustainable development growth pattern of member countries. Such initiatives reduce the transboundary pollution.
