A HORRIBLE TRAIN ACCIDENT
Kokrajhar, the 12th September/2021 :- A train accident took place yesterday near Kokrajhar station. The Delhi bound Guwahati Express derailed when it was travelling at the speed of 120km/h on the Kokrajhar-Delhi line. 50 people were killed and more than 500 injured in the accident. The sources state that the train derailed following the sudden use of the emergency brake. Fire and sparks were reported in the compartments.
The fire brigade, The Police and 108 with a high powered medical team immediately arrived at the place of accident. The coaches were being cut with gas cutters and more than 200 Policeman were involved in conducting rescue operations. The injured passengers were bought to the Civil Hospital. The fire and sparks were brought under control. The Indian Army deployed 100 soldiers to the accident site.
